ATC/GCA Specialist

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Serves as an Air Traffic Control Specialist for GCA operations and procedures with potential oversight of assigned ATC specialist. Operates fixed GCA facilities. Provide positive control for arriving rotary and fixed-wing aircraft.  Responsible for supervising and supporting the safe operation, movement, and flight procedures of rotary wing aircraft in a training environment.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operates as a facility rated controller in assigned facility.

• Provides OJT training for assigned controllers.

• Works within ICAO, GACA and MNG Air Traffic Control rules, procedures, and regulations with minimal supervision.

• May have supervisory responsibility for assigned Air Traffic Control Specialists in the facility during shift.

• Other duties as assigned.

NoMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : 

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a DoD, FAA or equivalent Air Traffic Control Course.
• Have a current FAA Class 2 (Expat) or GACA Class 3 (Saudi National) Medical Certificate or military equivalent.
• GCA or equivalent rating required.
• Must possess an understanding of Aviation Operations Management specific to fixed and rotary-wing aircraft.  
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written, minimum of ELP Level 4 (Operational) required.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.  
• Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include medical, drug testing, background checks.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Four (4) years’ experience as a DoD, FAA, or equivalent controller preferred.
• Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) or equivalent rating desired.
• Have a Control Tower Operator (CTO) Certificate preferred.
• ATC experience within the last two (2) years preferred.
