AVN Logistics Instructor, Basic Officer Course

Job Requirements:

Serves as the Lead Aviation Logistics Instructor for the Basic Officer Course (BOC) under the direction of the Aviation Institute's Technical Department Training Manager. Responsibilities include delivering academic instruction, hands-on performance training, and evaluations, as well as developing course schedules to ensure students meet proficiency and maintenance standards. Additionally, responsible for maintaining accurate student training records.

Major Duties and Responisbilities:

• Perform all the above duties, including POI technical writing, courseware development, and periodic revisions as needed.
• Create, implement, and modify curriculum to meet course learning objectives.
• Provide classroom and hands-on instruction using various teaching techniques and technical publications to prepare students that will be assigned as an Aviation Logistics Officer at Battalion or higher levels.
• Perform duties in a culturally sensitive environment while maintaining a professional attitude, appearance, and approach.
• Manage the daily classroom schedule for assigned instructors, including teaching, lesson planning, and course development.
• Manage and maintain the assigned classroom, including equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Pass an instructor qualification course in the first 90 days of hire.
• Other duties as assigned and or directed by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management or equivalent degree.
• Graduate of Military Combined Logistics Officer Advance Course or Warrant Officer Advanced or Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Advanced Course or an equivalent military/civilian program. 
• 12 years’ experience in Aviation Logistics Supply Chain Management
• Capable of developing syllabi and teaching Army Automated Logistic officer candidates.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Army Aviation training concepts, administration, operations, and logistics.
• Proven ability to manage a team to achieve organizational goals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; must be experienced in using Adobe Pro and other relevant programs and applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 15 years’ combined experience in US Military or civilian Logistics/Supply Chain Management
• Former Army service school instructor.
• Former aviation logistics officer with background in aviation maintenance
• Master’s degree in supply chain management.
