Senior Accountant

Job Description:

Lead financial project controls cost, budget, and performance. Own Estimate at completion (EAC), forecasting, and cost visibility across all projects. Ensure alignment between financial, program delivery, and contract structures. Drive disciplined financial control in line with Foreign Military Sale (FMS) and audit requirements.

Major duties and responsibilities:

• Lead financial control of FMS-funded programs with full visibility across Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) structures
• Own estimate at completion (EAC), forecasting, and cost performance under Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and cost-reimbursable (CR) environments
•  Ensure compliance with Federal acquisition regulation (FAR), Defense federal acquisition regulation (DFARS), and contract cost principles
• Drive audit readiness, including DCAA support, incurred cost submissions, and rate validations
• Translate program activity into financial impact with clear linkage to funding, billing, and contract limits
• Operate in a dynamic environment with evolving indirect rates and funding constraints
•  Lead CDRL preparation 
• Analyze indirect rate impact on project cost, revenue, and EAC
•  Support provisional vs actual rate alignment and true-up logic
• Ensure proper treatment of allowable vs unallowable costs per FAR Part 31
• Validate cost allocation across CLINs and funding lines
• Support Incurred Cost Proposal (ICP) preparation and audit requests with defensible data
• Reconcile program financial with billing, Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) submissions, and  Contract Funds Status Report (CFSR)
•  Identify funding risks and prevent overrun against obligated values

Minimum Qualifications:

•  8+ years in program finance, project controls, government contracting or Audit experience
• Hands-on experience with Estimate at completion (EAC), cost control, and variance analysis in complex programs
• Strong understanding of indirect cost structures (fringe, G&A, overhead)
•  Proven ability to operate under audit scrutiny and tight reporting timelines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or government contracting environment
• PIF exposure
•  Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and contract cost structures
•  Big 4 audit experience strongly preferred
•  Experience with Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and cost reimbursable (CR) contracts
• Strong audit and compliance exposure
