Senior Aircraft Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Aircraft Engineer to oversee the design, development, and maintenance of aircraft systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aeronautical engineering and extensive experience in the aviation industry.

Job Responsibility:

• Apply Engineering Principles to any activity undertaken to address root cause issues or problems and document the outcome in processes for others to follow.
• Take ownership of Engineering Projects and start to deliver them with independence from the Engineering Manager.
• Take accountability for Engineering Lifecycle Management to all projects to de-risk the later phases of the lifecycle.
• Document all tasks and learning outcomes in a Personal Development Plan.
• Understand the regulations that govern Aerospace Industry and help build a compliant business.
• Deliver all outputs (written, oral, presented) to the best possible standard, ensuring all data is factually accurate, and decisions are based on sound reasoning.
• Continuously review business outputs and develop processes to support repeatability.
• Support new Engineers through the business, sharing best practices and applying own learning to the situation.
• Promote compliance with GDC ME’s Integrated Management System initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with GDC ME quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and requirements.
• Promptly report any unsafe working conditions, faulty equipment, hazards/risks, injuries, or incidents related to personnel safety and environmental aspects.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policy procedures and awareness programs.

Candidate Requirements:

• BEng in an Engineering discipline (Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical/Automotive, Electrical/Electronics) or similar.
• A firm grasp of engineering lifecycles and their management, good experience in Design and Analysis Tools.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Aerospace sector or related Field
