IT Manager

Duties and responsibilities include: 

• Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware.
• Oversee IT support and troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Ensure all IT systems are secure, efficient, and up to date with the latest patches and upgrades.
• Lead and manage the IT team, providing direction, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Identify training needs and professional development opportunities to strengthen the IT team.
• Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
• Plan and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
• Oversee the implementation of new applications and systems.
• Promote compliance with GDC ME’s Integrated Management System initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with GDC ME quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and requirements.
• Promptly report any unsafe working conditions, faulty equipment, hazards/risks, injuries, or incidents related to personnel safety and environmental aspects.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policy procedures and awareness programs

Required qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of network architecture, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and IT infrastructure management.
• Special Certifications: ITIL, CompTIA, or similar certifications are preferred; PMP or equivalent project management certification is advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IT management or a similar leadership role, with experience in managing cross-functional IT teams.
