Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:
1.Work under the management of / and reported to site Superintendent in Directorate of Aircraft Maintenance in the Base.
2.Inspect maintain, adjust aircrew flight equipment such as flight helmets, floatation devices, survival kits, helmets mounted devices, aircrew night vision and other ocular systems and other types of aircrew life support equipment
3.Install and remove Aircraft installed ALSE
4.Use various types of test equipment to conduct reliability testing on ALSE
5.Maintains inspection and accountability documentation on ALSE issued to aircrews or prepositioned on Aircraft
6.Plans and Schedules Aviation Life Support Activities and Survival and Life Support Continuation Training.
7.Ensures availability of required space, supplies, tools and equipment for efficient functioning of ALSE.
8.Establishes performance standards for functions accomplishing preventive maintenance on life rafts and life preservers and inspecting emergency radio communications devices.
9.Develops and supervises procedures for inspecting and maintaining life support equipment such as personnel parachutes, torso harness assemblies, survival kits, vests, helmets and oxygen masks.
10.Prepares, supervises and conducts life support and survival continuation training program.
11.Ensures availability of spare parts and controls issue of equipment.
12.Establishes and maintains system of accountability for equipment.
13.Coordinates activities with other units such as maintenance and supply.
14.Recommends procedural changes to achieve best utilization of personnel.
15.Supervises Life Support Personnel.
16.Assigns work, such as inspecting life support equipment and presenting pre-flight briefings on equipment required for missions.
17.Establishes work priorities for functions and preparing records on status of life support equipment.
18.Determines need for individual and group training.
19.Plans and conducts instruction in activities such as cleaning, lubricating and performing minor repairs to life support equipment.
20.Conducts refresher training to keep personnel proficient in fitting, using and inspecting life support equipment.
21.Performs Technical Aircrew Life Support Functions:
22.Provides continuation training for technical aircrews in the purpose, operation, care and use of life support equipment.
23.Conducts technical aircrew training such as simulated egress, hanging harness and forced landings or ditching.
24.Presents pre-flight briefings on aircrew life support equipment required for special missions.
25.Provides indoctrination training on egress systems and associated life support equipment for non-rated personnel before they participate in flying activities.
26.Determines equipment arrangement requirements.
27.Implements life support equipment, policies, regulations and directives.
28.Accomplishes difficult fitting and adjusting of equipment.
29.Designs training aids and conducts demonstration on use of life support equipment.
30.Evaluates recommendations of subordinates for improvements in equipment and procedures.
31.Conducts on-the-job training as a trainer. The ALSE technicians are in charge of train the / personnel on operating equipment through scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to qualify the / personnel.

 

Skills Description

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:


1.Minimum Diploma in Aviation/ maintenance as Mechanic or recognized aviation training program in Aircraft maintenance or ALSE training program (Minimum 2 years).
2.Minimum 5 years proven experience (Military or Civilian) as ALSE technician. Provide a copy of the OJT log-book training on H145 Aircraft is preferred.
3.Must have ALSE course certificate and Train the trainer course certificate
4.English language level (listening, speaking, reading & writing) in minimum IELTS 5.0 or equivalent for Non-Native speaker. Otherwise, the English language will be evaluated in the interview by /.
5.Have working knowledge of office automation tools such as MS office.
6.Must all the above requirements be proven by a copy of an official document and Must any information in the CVs be substantiated by a copy of an official document.
7.Pass the security clearance from KSA government.
