The Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents to protect the organization's information systems and data. This role involves implementing security measures, conducting security assessments, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and events to identify and respond to potential security incidents.
- Conduct investigations and analysis of security breaches and incidents.
- Implement and manage security tools and technologies to protect the organization's assets.
- Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration and management of systems and networks.
- Provide guidance and support to cybersecurity staff on security-related issues and best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats and security trends.
- Prepare and present security reports to Line manager.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the development and testing of incident response plans.
- Promptly report any unsafe working conditions, faulty equipment, hazards/risks, injuries, or incidents related to personnel safety and environmental aspects.
- To comply with cybersecurity policy, procedures, and awareness programs
- To comply with GDC ME quality, health, safety and environmental policies and requirements.
Skills
Requirements:
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Technical Qualifications: Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and technologies.
- Special Certifications: Certification in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP) is preferred.
- Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity operations or a related field.
