KMS Developer

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

The Knowledge Management System (SharePoint) Developer oversees the maintenance and management of the Aviation Institute's SharePoint system.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : 

• Design and implement knowledge frameworks that facilitate effective information sharing across teams in SharePoint
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge repository in SharePoint, ensuring the assets are organized, relevant, and easily accessible
• Conduct training sessions to promote knowledge and best practices of SharePoint 
• Develop, modify, and maintain the SharePoint intranet
• Design and build consistent branded pages in SharePoint with JSON
• Build web components, lists, libraries, site pages, and navigation routes
• Integrate Microsoft 365 applications to implement solutions and automations based on user requirements
• Design, implement, and maintain logical permissions groups for SharePoint users, actively manage user access while ensuring minimum level permissions 
• Develop data-driven pages based on database management system concepts
• Develop web applications to integrate into SharePoint for custom solutions
• Develop desktop solutions leveraging Python or other languages, based on user requirements
• Install and configure local Apache web server and MySQL database server 
• Install Learning Management System software on local server to facilitate digital testing
• Manage and maintain web and database servers
• Ensure data maintenance and security of databases and SharePoint
• Systems backup: Backup SharePoint files and databases on a monthly basis to local hard drive

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
• Minimum five years’ experience in a technical role with eLearning, software systems, or training management
• Diverse computer skills, MS Office suite or MS 365, HTML, CSS, JSON or XML, Database Management System (DBMS), web servers, and SharePoint, along with working knowledge of LMS software
• Expertise in database management and Web development concepts, and understands how to implement solutions
• Ability to create and visualize content for various delivery formats
• Highly organized, goal-oriented, and collaborative
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to deal effectively with people in the completion of staff functions
• Ability to effectively communicate with the users or customer/client professionally and courteously

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or any major with 5 years of technical experience is preferred
• Preferred experience in software development or software systems
