Network engineer

Tasks & Duties:

• Design, deploy, and configure network systems, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN.
• Implement and support network architecture, ensuring scalability and reliability.

• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for efficiency and security.
• Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure system stability.

• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement solutions to mitigate risks.

• Respond to network outages and other technical issues, providing prompt resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems.

• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and issues.
• Prepare reports on network performance, incidents, and project status for management.

• Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and recommend upgrades or new solutions to meet business needs.
• Assist in planning and executing network infrastructure upgrades and migrations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in networks, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: +2 years Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Technical Skills:
• Experience with network design and troubleshooting tools.
• Proficiency in network security and monitoring systems.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualization technologies.
• Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications.
